LiveRamp Girl Geek Dinner 2019
LiveRamp is excited to. host our very first Girl Geek Dinner at our San Francisco headquarters on Wednesday, July 17, 2019! We’re bringing together some amazing women from our company to talk about what we’re up to here at LiveRamp, as well as to share their stories and advice about working in a series of lightning talks!
Erin Friesen (Software Engineer) Lightning Talk: “How do you go from destroying an entire build ecosystem to leading the engineering wide initiative to protect and improve that very same system? I will discuss how I was pushed to change and grow as an engineer to accomplish this feat. There were mistakes, recoveries and a lot of help along the way.”
Akshaya Aradhya (Senior Engineering Manager) Lightning Talk: “Managing a geographically distributed engineering team: How LiveRamp’s People and Culture policies help us deliver high-quality results, while maintaining the work-life balance.”
Rachel Wolan (VP Product) Lightning Talk: “What is privacy? I will walk through a brief history of the evolution of privacy, discuss what it means to build products intended to protect consumer privacy globally, and the design decisions we make along the way.”
Eloise Dietz (Software Engineer) Lightning Talk: “How new privacy laws affect building software systems that handle consumer data: A description of some of the lessons we learned as we work to make LiveRamp CCPA compliant.”
Tina Arantes (Product Leader) Lightning Talk: “Every product manager wants to create wildly successful products. One key to success is deeply understanding your customers and their problems. I’ll share what I’ve learned about finding product/market fit (and of course detours) along the way.”
Allison Metcalf (General Manager, TV) Lightning Talk: “The way the TV industry buys, sells and measures television has literally not changed in 70 years – and the industry is in trouble. Google and Facebook want to get their hands on that $80B budget. Learn how LiveRamp got into the TV game for the first time 2 years ago, is leading the charge in terms of changing the industry dramatically for the first time, and how Allison went from Customer Success leadership to being GM of the division.”
At LiveRamp, we reach solutions by bringing together people with different backgrounds, opinions and experiences. Through this, we are able to foster an inclusive and open environment where new ideas are welcome. We are excited to partner with Girl Geek X for a night of food, drinks and the opportunity to hear from fellow women in the tech community. We can’t wait to see you at LiveRamp!
