SPEAKER

Willie Hooykaas-Baldwin

Willie is a VP of Engineering at Salesforce who leads globally distributed, diverse, and high performing teams whose work in developing high quality, scalable software on the Salesforce Platform makes it easier for companies to center their business around their customers. In her 10-year tenure at Salesforce, she’s grown from senior engineer to high-level leader, directing efforts for brand new products, revivals of existing products, and everything in between.

Before Salesforce, she’s developed software for a range of industries like elearning  (learning and content management systems) or the financial industry (a realtime trading system). Willie has worked as a fullstack software engineer, both in Europe and the US, at tiny startups, midsize companies, and now a Fortune 500 company.

Willie brings authenticity and curiosity to everything she does and is a mentor for others in her field and beyond. That curiosity led her to pursue her Master’s in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Amsterdam, to speak regularly at universities, and to always make time to listen.

In her spare time, she feeds her curiosity by learning how to ski, crafting with her daughter, or reading a good mystery.
