Rong has been active in the networking field for more than ten years while working at Cisco Systems, Stanford University, Bell Laboratories, and startups. Currently she is a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco where she heads a team in Engineering CTO office. She is an author for 30+ technical papers and an inventor of 30+ patents. Her work and innovations have been recognized and adopted widely in the industry. Rong has won a best paper award and served as program committee members at IEEE conferences, and she will serve as the technical co-chair at IEEE High Performance Switching and Routing Conference 2014.
