Patricia is a software engineer working on the user authentication team at 23andMe. She loves using the power of programming to automate repetitive tasks. Prior to joining 23andMe, Patricia was a microbiologist at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, and she studied molecular biology at the University of Cincinnati. Before becoming a microbiologist, Patricia was a community organizer for a political nonprofit group. She worked on (and won!) several local, state, and federal elections throughout the Midwest. In her free time, Patricia enjoys Olympic weightlifting, reading historical nonfiction about the Kennedys, and rooting for Houston athletes José Altuve & JJ Watt.
