Max manages a team of engineers at Mode. Their team focuses on the systems that allow Mode’s customers to find, process, and explore data. Their career has mostly involved being a programmer and a manager at a sequence of startups, nonprofits, and agencies, including Good Eggs, Couch-surfing, and Greenpeace. They enjoy thinking about systems – digital, interpersonal, and ecological ones. When not at work, they are a clandestine librarian, an amateur bookbinder, a creator and appreciator of immersive art, and executive assistant / chef / gofer for a very energetic whippet.
