Laurel is an Electronic Design Engineer on the power electronics team. Her primary focus is the design of sensors and control circuitry of the Model S drive inverter but she also develops firmware for sensor validation and manufacturing test. Before working at Tesla, Laurel earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University focusing on smart product design and robotics. Her bachelor’s degree is in general engineering from Harvey Mudd College. When she isn’t working, Laurel can be found either on her bike or practicing bass guitar.
