Julia Perez is a Principal Application Engineer at Cadence. She received her Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, earned three patents and 20 of her 60+ publications are technical. Her background includes PDK (process design kit) development, tool enablement, and support for Cadence Virtuoso features. She’s currently engaged with advanced nodes and photonics. Julia is also an advocate for STEM careers and child laborers in U.S. agriculture. Her advocacy led to speaking at universities, D.C. and at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland in 2014, 2015 and 2020. Her work as Associate Director of the documentary film “The Harvest/La Cosecha” ignited a hobby in screenplay writing.
