Deb is a senior product manager at PayPal. Previously she was a product manager for Hitachi’s Public Safety & Smart City IoT portfolio. Deb grew up in India and came to Carnegie Mellon to do her Masters in Computer Science in 2007. She began her career at Microsoft as a software engineer and has over the years evolved into a lead Product Manager at Hitachi. Deb owns the product lifecycle and GTM strategy for all of Public Safety & Smart City IoT software portfolio including product roadmap, product design, pricing, licensing, sales enablement while supporting all other functions such as presales, professional services & support. Deb also evangelizes products internally to interested parties within Hitachi as well as externally to customers and partners. Interesting fact – she has performed with Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas in 2012. When not working on IoT or on her blog, Deb performs at open mics, does home-DIY projects and is a long distance runner.
