Talk topic: “Semi Integrations” by Rachel Antion, Clover Software Engineer
Talk abstract: “The Clover software suite supports about 600k small/medium business merchants in the US, but what about large merchants, or merchants who have an existing software solution but want to use our hardware? That’s where Semi-Integrations comes in. What is Semi-Integrations? Rachel will explain what it is and how it fits into the Clover business plan.”
Talk topic: “You Don’t Have to be a Designer to Think Design” by Kejun Xu, Clover Product Design Manager
Talk abstract: “Design Thinking is a powerful framework for innovation and collaboration. It helps product managers, engineers, and designers to align on goals, initiatives, build a safe and fun environment to work together, a recipe for high performing teams. In this lightning talk, Kejun will introduce the toolbox and activities that we use at Clover to pull teams together to practice design thinking. You don’t have to be a designer to think design.”
Talk topic: “Fostering Customer Empathy at Clover” by Wako Takayama, Clover User Research Lead
Talk abstract: “As with many companies, Clover faces the challenge of building products for people who have jobs that are not like ours. Wako will introduce how we foster empathy through programs that enable Clover employees to “step into the shoes” of our customers.”
We have a packed agenda planned for you: our CEO John Beatty and other executive leaders will share their insights and experience, followed by an engaging panel discussion with Women in Tech@Clover with variety in backgrounds to discuss about their experiences of navigating and overcoming the conscious and unconscious biases.
A night to sit back, network with other Girl Geeks, and share your journey with us!
