Angie Chang

CEO & Co-Founder

Angie is CEO and co-founder of Girl Geek X. She started Bay Area Girl Geek Dinners in 2008 to network women across the Silicon Valley.

Prior to Girl Geek X, she was VP of Strategic Partnerships at Hackbright Academy, a women’s engineering school which has graduated over 500+ female software engineers. Angie led partnerships with employers at Hackbright, where she built valuable hiring partnerships (Uber, Slack, GoDaddy, Redfin, Indiegogo and more), launched the mentorship program (enlisting 700+ industry engineers as volunteers in 4 years) and connected countless women to new jobs in tech. Prior to that, she co-founded Women 2.0 in 2006, a media company which promotes women in high-tech entrepreneurship. Angie has been invited by the U.S. State Department to speak on women’s entrepreneurship in the West Bank, Switzerland and Germany. In her early career, she held positions in product management and web/UI production at various Silicon Valley startups. She holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Social Welfare from UC Berkeley.

Sukrutha Bhadouria

CTO & Co-Founder

Sukrutha is the CTO and co-founder of Girl Geek X, and a Director of Engineering at Salesforce. Sukrutha graduated from USC with an M.S. in Electric Engineering.

Sukrutha wants to change the world for girls, one geek dinner at a time, and she is passionate about technology, gender diversity, and engineering leadership. She was named in Business Insider’s list of “30 Most Important Women Under 30 In Tech“ in 2014 and “San Francisco Business Times 40 Under 40” Tech Titans in 2016. Outside of work, Sukrutha is a mom to a rambunctious toddler.

Lety Gómez

Web Developer

Lety is the Web Developer at Girl Geek X. By day, she works as a software engineer at TechCrunch. 

She is a self-starter with passion for technology as well as diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Before TechCrunch, she worked in engineering at Wipro, and was an engineering intern at KallDoc and CampusKribz. Lety holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from San Francisco State University.

Rachel Jones

Podcast Producer

Rachel is the Podcast Producer at Girl Geek X. She produces podcasts and storytelling events with You Had Me At Black and StorySlam Oakland. Since graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in Film and Radio, Rachel has worked to develop platforms for underrepresented voices. This passion has taken her around the world, from producing short films with filmmakers in Ethiopia, to teaching digital storytelling to students in India. Most recently, Rachel led a youth journalism program on Chicago’s South Side with Free Spirit Media. When she’s not producing podcasts, you can find her searching for the best boba and ramen in the Bay.

Amy Weicker

Head of Marketing

Amy is the Head of Marketing at Girl Geek X, and she has been helping launch & grow tech companies as a marketing leader and demand generation consultant for nearly 20 years.

Amy previously ran marketing at SaaStr, where she helped scale the world’s largest community and conference for B2B SaaS Founders, Executives and VCs from $0 to $10M and over 200,000 global community members. She also served as Director of Marketing at Sales Hacker, Inc. (acquired by Outreach) which helps connect B2B sales professionals with the tools, technology and education they need to excel in their careers. In her spare time, Amy dabbles in photography, plays guitar, and tries her best to not get lost in the woods while foraging for mushrooms and walking her golden retriever.

Erica Kawamoto Hsu


Erica learned to photograph in middle school, and develop and print images in the darkroom. After graduating from UC Berkeley, she gained experience as a copywriter in Taipei, Taiwan. She is now based in Berkeley, where she enjoys bike riding, acupuncture, running, and community building.

Erica has over 15 years of marketing experience, and has worked with organizations such as The Kresge Foundation, Downtown Women’s Center, The San Francisco Marathon, Women in Technology Japan, and TechZulu. She has worked as a webinar producer for a fast-growing startup, been trained in digital media at the Bay Area Video Coalition, and documented events and conferences for Women 2.0 – her photos are featured in news stories including Bloomberg Businessweek.

Eric Brown

Video Producer

Eric is a videographer at Girl Geek X. He has over 12 years of video experience after graduating from USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Eric’s ability to emotionally connect audiences through video has awarded him recognition, from 90seconds.tv as a top creator, and W Hotels as a preferred vendor. When Eric isn’t busy juggling his video production projects, you can find him at home hanging out with his boyfriend, Chayce, and their 2 twin dogs, Arrow and Fin. 

Stacy McKenzie

Video Producer

Stacy is a videographer at Girl Geek X. She is a San Francisco-based filmmaker, video producer. Her Optical North Productions company provides Film and Video production dedicated to bringing vision and creativity to every story.

With a craving for collecting moments and an addiction to telling stories, Stacy constantly pushes to find and make the most interesting and enveloping work possible. Fun fact: she once gave a TED talk on virtual memories. She graduated with a degree in Art Photography from San Francisco State University.
