Thomas Kurian, President, Product Development

Thomas Kurian

Keynote Speaker
Thomas Kurian is president of Oracle product development and reports to Oracle executive chairman of the board and chief technology officer Larry Ellison. He is responsible for leading software development and transitioning the company’s technology to Oracle Cloud. For the past several years, Kurian has been responsible for the Oracle Fusion Middleware family of products. Under his leadership, that business became the fastest-growing within Oracle and the industry’s leading middleware product suite. Since 2008, Kurian has also led the development for Oracle’s next-generation business applications, Oracle Fusion Applications.
Kurian has been with Oracle since 1996, holding various product management and development positions. Prior to joining Oracle, he worked as a consultant in London, Brussels, and San Francisco with international management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, serving clients in the software, telecommunications, and financial services industries.
Kurian has a BA in electrical engineering from Princeton University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He also has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He serves as an advisory member on the boards of several international venture funds and software companies.

Gretchen Alarcon, Group Vice President, Product Strategy

Gretchen Alarcon is Group Vice President for Oracle’s Human Capital Management (HCM) cloud solutions. With over 20 years’ experience in product strategy, Alarcon has taken her knowledge of the industry to showcase the importance of modernization in Core HR, Talent Acquisition and HR Data Analytics, through the integration of cloud apps. She has worked at Ford and Icarian where she drove strategic human resource initiatives. She holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA in American Studies from Stanford University.

Michelle Hulst, Group Vice President, Marketing & Strategic Partnerships

In her role as Group Vice President, Marketing & Strategic Partnerships for Oracle Data Cloud, Michelle is responsible for creating and managing marketing, strategy, and key global partnerships, including data partnerships fueling Oracle Data Cloud’s measurement and targeting products. Prior to it being acquired by Oracle, she was at Datalogix from 2006–2015, where she was Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Business Development. She also was an original member of the executive team that led the sale of Datalogix to Oracle. Michelle received her MBA in Strategy, Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan. She is an advisory board member for Valassis, a Harland Clarke Company. Michelle lives in the Bay Area with her husband and three sons.

Renu Chintalapati, Senior Director, ERP Analytics

Renu Chintalapati is Senior Director, BI Applications at Oracle, focused on developing the BI applications in the Enterprise Resource Planning and the Human Capital Management areas. These applications help customers run their business more efficiently with actionable insights into their data. Prior to (re) joining Oracle this August, Renu worked at a Series C Startup, Numerify for four years leading the BI Applications product team. Prior to that, Renu was Director of Product Development at Oracle, leading the BI Applications for Enterprise Resource Planning.

Rashim Mogha, Senior Director, Product Management

Rashim Mogha

Rashim Mogha is Senior Director, OCI Product Management at Oracle. She leads the strategy for customer enablement through training, certification, and references. She is a skilled leader in the training and enablement and is passionate about driving customer success. Her career portfolio is extensive and consists of prominent companies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware, Hitachi Data Systems, and NIIT. Rashim is a published author and regularly shares her thoughts through Association for Talent Development (ATD).

Vivian Wong, Group Vice President, Higher Education Development

Vivian Wong

Vivian Wong is a dynamic, outcome-driven, and accomplished technology executive who is highly focused on service excellence and customers’ success. She brings a wealth of experience and talent to develop world-class software and lead global engineering teams. Vivian has a proven track record in delivering high quality products from concept to market, with over 20 years of experience building enterprise software and Cloud applications at PeopleSoft, Taleo, ServiceMax, TargetX and Oracle. Vivian is currently leading the Higher Education Product Development organization at Oracle for the latest innovation and delivery of Oracle Student Cloud.  As a strong customer advocate, she ensures that quality, usability, performance and scalability are always designed and built into her products. Outside of the office, Vivian is passionate about making the world a better place and leads her team to continue to give back to the community through ongoing philanthropic projects.

Maria Kaval, Vice President, UI Technologies

Maria Kaval is a Vice President of Engineering at Oracle Corporation with over 20 years experience. She started her career as a software engineer at Siebel Systems, and after Siebel Systems was acquired by Oracle in 2005, she has held various positions in Software Development at Oracle, recently focusing on UI Development for the Cloud. At Oracle, Maria is also a Community Leader for the Oracle Women’s Leadership initiative. Maroa holds 4 patents in the area of Software Engineering. Kaval is on the National Board for TechBridge Girls, a non-profit to promote under-represented girls in STEM fields, as well as a Girl Scout Leader. Born in Sweden, and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Maria earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Menlo Park.

Leor Chechik, Principal Applications Engineer

Leor Chechik

Leor Chechik is a full-stack developer working on Oracle Financials Cloud Applications. During her 11 years at Oracle she has worked in diverse teams and projects, including Server Technologies, Front-End development and Back-end API’s. As the Community Leader for the Oracle Women Leadership Tech Community, Leor organizes a wide range of events with a focus on women in tech, including Tech Panels, Lightning Talks and lean-in circles. Leor earned her MS in Computer Science at Stanford University, and her BS in Computer Science at Glasgow University, UK.
