John is a 20-year veteran of Silicon Valley, holding senior positions in engineering and product development before co-founding Clover in 2010. He started his career as an engineer focused on distributed systems and security at large tech companies including Sun Microsystems and BEA Systems. He was a founding engineer at Bix, an online video startup acquired by Yahoo. He then joined Sutter Hill Ventures as an Entrepreneur in Residence, where he incubated and co-founded Clover. John has led Clover as President of Product Development and later as CEO. John has a B.S. in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
