Alinka Flaminia has served as our Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary since June 2020. She is responsible for Cadence worldwide legal operations, covering matters such as commercial transactions, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, employment, export compliance, government affairs, intellectual property, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and stock administration.
She has served semiconductor and software companies her entire in-house legal career, most recently as SVP, General Counsel, of Mellanox Technologies Ltd. from September 2016 through April 2020 and as VP, General Counsel of PMC-Sierra, Inc. from 2007 to 2016. She also held in-house counsel roles at Xilinx, Inc. and McAfee (formerly Network Associates). Prior to moving in-house, she was in private practice for 10 years, mostly litigating chemical product liability matters.
She is an active member and a past president of the Silicon Valley Association of General Counsel. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and her Juris Doctor degree from Colorado University, School of Law where she was Managing Editor of the school’s law review her final year.
