Talk Topic: “Driving Impact as an Individual Contributor” by Eve Shum
Talk Description: “Driving impact as an individual contributor in an organization can seem daunting. It’s difficult to generate the buy-in and momentum needed to propagate positive changes throughout a team and in some instances across multiple teams or stakeholders. Eve will share the methods she uses to positively impact a team from a lens of an engineer in the context of a bootstrap upgrade that the applications team recently completed.”
Talk Topic: “Leveraging Domain Expertise to Break Into Data Product Management” by Casey Patterson
Talk Description: “Administrative healthcare data is notoriously messy and comes with a steep learning curve, but it can be a gold mine for understanding care delivery and patient outcomes. Casey recently joined Grand Rounds’ Data PM team after starting with the company as a Data Strategy Analyst. She will describe how she leveraged her health services research experience to make the career change while growing use of this asset across the company.”
