Danica Fine (she/her/hers) is a software engineer at Bloomberg on the Derivatives Data Streaming Infrastructure team, a group responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that helps Bloomberg process millions of market data per second in near real-time. She is currently working to build out analytics pipelines and migrate existing pipelines to Kafka and Kafka Streaming. Danica graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Logic and a MSE in scientific computing. In addition to her engineering work, she is heavily involved in both Bloomberg-sponsored and external volunteer events, as well as leading sustainability efforts within the office.
