Sandra Chen is dedicated to the mission of connecting and mentoring women into STEM leadership positions and becoming STEM entrepreneurs who build sustainable businesses. She has been actively involved with the TechWomen and Technovation initiatives the past 6 years as a professional mentor and impact coach. As impact coach to TechWomen fellows, she coached fellows from Jordan, Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine, Nigeria, and Cameroon develop their business plan, pitch, obtain funding, launch their MVP pilot and scale their business in their respective home communities. She is currently leading the Global Supply Chain Management team as Senior Manager at Square, Inc / Block, Inc’s payment devices for economic empowerment for SMBs (small medium businesses). She has been a hardware operations expert working in various technical, supply chain, and operations management roles launching mass consumer hardware to highly complex hardware infrastructure such as Apple iPhones/iPods, Fitbits, Facebook’s data server infrastructure, and Square Inc’s payment devices. She holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT / Class of 2012. She has traveled to 18 countries and counting. In her free time, you’ll find her running, kayaking and cooking. She is based in San Francisco, CA.
