Oakland Public School Volunteer: Girl Geek X CCPA Back To School Support!
SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER WITH US ON AUGUST 4 HERE!
On Friday, August 4, 2023 (1pm-4pm), Girl Geek X Community Volunteers will GET READY FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL! This means helping educators prepare classrooms and hallways have to be re-decorated, posters made, paper borders stapled up, supplies reorganized for the new school year.
Teachers only have a few days to get their classrooms ready to welcome students back in August for the new school year. Volunteers help educators to create a welcoming environment for students, maximizing the little time teachers have to prepare.
Don’t forget to spread the word and invite your coworkers & friends to join you in volunteering! Volunteering together not only strengthens our impact, but also provides a chance to bond.
Organized by the Oakland Public Education Fund, a non-profit connecting groups with schools to make a positive impact on school culture and student achievement through relevant and meaningful volunteer projects.
Our partnership goal is to support students at Coliseum College Prep Academy (CCPA) in Oakland, CA by partnering on a variety of volunteer activities throughout the school year — from volunteering on-campus to field trips to tech companies & more!
If your employer wants to Adopt an Oakland School for the upcoming school year, please email osv@oaklandfund.org.
