Stella is a software engineer at Heroku. When she’s not coding, Stella is speaking at conferences, organizing andconf.io and the Fog City Ruby meetup, and practicing her very mediocre French. She had a non-traditional path to software engineering and is a Hackbright alumna. Stella studied Political Science and Islamic Studies at Georgia State University. She lived and traveled all over North Africa and the Middle East, but spent most of her time abroad studying Arabic and Political Science at the American University in Cairo.
