Sonia is a senior engineering manager at Capital One. While at Marin, Sonia and her team architected and built the Search Publisher Big Data Platform for large-scale ad data processing. Prior to joining Marin, she was leading the architecture and development of a large-scale distributed system for Monitoring Mission Critical Services at Novetta. Prior to Novetta, Sonia was Chief Architect of a startup, Razorsight (acquired by Synchronos), where she built the industry’s first award winning telco ingest and analytics platform. Her passion for solving complex business problems through technology has allowed her to remain hands on with Java, Ruby, ROR, Hadoop, Spark and several Hadoop eco-system frameworks. In her spare time she enjoys biking, hiking, cooking or coaching a math team.
