Rachel is passionate about problem solving. Since joining Thoughtworks as a developer in 2010, she has taken on increasingly complex problems for clients across the globe.. As Chief Technology Officer for Thoughtworks, she is responsible for the continued development and communication of technology strategy and vision.

She has been lucky to work in many countries during her time at Thoughtworks, including stints in the UK, Germany, India, Australia and the US. Those experiences have given her valuable insights into the breadth and variety of challenges facing clients across the globe.

She has spent much of her career speaking at technology conferences and getting together with Thoughtworks’ Technical Advisory Board to produce the twice yearly Thoughtworks Technology Radar.  She is originally from the North of England and now lives in Delaware with her husband and two children.
