"Accessibility and You: What Is It, and Why Does It Matter?” by Jade Feng, Product Manager at Okta
Accessibility is the practice of making your products usable by as many people as possible - traditionally, we think of accessibility as focused on people with disabilities, but in reality it's a practice from which all users can benefit. Accessibility is the right thing to do, can open up some significant markets, and drive key product metrics around user happiness and retention. This talk will go through web accessibility 101, the standards to pay attention to (and why), some quick wins you can start on today, and how we embed accessibility into our product development process.
