Izzy Clemenson is a Senior Staff Engineer at Slack, currently leading a cross-functional team addressing systemic issues around reliability and performance. Prior to her current role, Izzy led engineering efforts for Slack Connect as a Director of Engineering and later as an individual contributor. She changed roles from management to individual contributor because her true passion was in building and designing solutions, while empowering the other engineers around her to do the same. Izzy lives in San Francisco where she tries to enjoy the outdoors as much as she can.
