Celeste Bean works as a Senior Hardware Engineer for PlayStation (Sony Interactive Entertainment). She completed her BS in Computer Engineering at UC Santa Barbara (UCSB), her MS in Electrical Engineering at UCSB, and is completing an MA in International Security Studies at the University of Arizona. Previous work experience includes consulting design work for Benchmark Electronics in a wide variety of industries, focusing on hardware development and firmware integration. Her current position in PlayStation’s R&D department allows her to lead hardware design for next-generation PlayStation accessories. Celeste leads Women@PlayStation’s San Mateo chapter and volunteers with development organizations to encourage empowerment through technology.
