Ann holds an MBA from Stanford University, a BS in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley, and a PhD in Bioengineering from UC San Diego, where she was a National Science Foundation Fellow. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University College London as an NSF International Research Fellow. Ann serves on the national Board of Directors for the Association of Women in Science (AWIS), based in Washington, D.C. She spoke at the Genentech Girl Geek Dinner to give an overview of personalized medicine and its development.
