Dobs (she/her/hers) is a software engineer at Bloomberg in the San Francisco office. At work, Dobs works on the exciting BQuant team, which offers end users a platform to interact with Bloomberg data in a programmatic way, all inside of a Jupyter notebook! She originally was on the front-end apps team for BQuant, working exclusively in JavaScript. Now she’s on the financial libraries team for BQuant, writing an API in python for users to use on the platform. Dobs enjoys having an interdisciplinary perspective, and is proud of her non-traditional background (previous careers include management consulting and finance). When not coding, she can be found doing Pilates, creating scavenger hunts for her partner, attending sound bath sessions, or hanging out in anti-gravity aerial yoga class.
