Alana Esty has her master’s degree in biomedical engineering and currently works in the field of health informatics. She created the Health Analytic Insights podcast to create a community of individuals who are passionate about the field of health informatics and help them get into the field quicker with actionable and helpful tips, she ran the podcast from 2020 – 2023 and currently runs the Health Analytic Insights newsletter. She has had the opportunity to speak at the STEMNoire conference, The Wonder Women in Tech Summit, Black in Data Week, The Health Informatics Bridging Program, the Women in Tech Speaker Series and the Melanin Science Careers in Health Informatics Panel Discussion.
