Join us at Walmart Labs for an interactive evening on Tuesday, October 29th, 2013 at the Walmart Labs office in San Bruno! Get your “Geek On” with the Walmart Labs team of accomplished technologists at GEEKQUALITY (the idea that a female engineer is not defined by the fact that she is a woman in technology. She is an engineer who has the skills, knowledge and passion to solve challenging problems, as do her male colleagues.) We’re getting away from the notion that women, over half the population, represent ‘diversity’ and require unique treatment. @WalmartLabs our technologists are women, and they are men, and they are changing the way people shop one billion at a time.
The Walmart Labs girl geek speakers will focus on career development – from an individual contributor to a manager, and from a manager to an executive. Panelists will share personal examples of their successes, guidance on how to ensure your voice is heard in a technology-centric company, how to ensure your POV is represented and how your ideas can lead to products, solutions, global success and make an impact.
