Apply to Mentor an Oakland Public School Student: TechLink (Virtual Mentorship – Spring Semester)
This is a powerful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of motivated, high-potential high school students in Oakland who are eager to break into the tech world.
TechLink connects students with real-world career exposure through a dynamic spring mentorship experience with passionate tech professionals who want to invest in the next generation of innovators.
As a mentor, you’ll meet virtually with an Oakland public school student for 30–45 minutes each week from February to late April/early May (about 11–12 weeks, exact dates TBD) in 2026. The program is designed to fit into a busy schedule while still offering meaningful, one-on-one support—and there are optional opportunities to meet in person if you’d like to take the experience even further.

Your guidance can spark confidence, expand possibilities, and open doors for a young person who’s ready to learn. Many mentors tell us it’s one of the most rewarding parts of their year.
If you’re interested, please submit your application by January 15, 2026.
