Visit elementary classrooms to share stories and celebrate Oakland’s vibrant heritage, discussing stories in 2-3 classrooms per 90-minute volunteer shift.

Volunteers will read books (provided by the Oakland Education Fund) to students in 2-3 elementary school classrooms at Oakland elementary schools.
