Walyce Almeida is a Program Manager at AWS focused on building authoring tools for technical documentation writers. This role adds to her 8 years of experience bringing technical concepts to life via product ownership, content strategy, and project management. Her career in technology began while working at Columbia University, where she helped build their content management system and website design. Simultaneously, she obtained from the Ivy League an Executive Master’s in Technology Management degree.
Her experience with digital media and publishing goes beyond just technology. Walyce has over a decade of experience in journalism and digital marketing. She has demonstrated success increasing user engagement and growing diverse audiences across digital and social media platforms for news organizations including The Miami Herald, WNYC Radio, and Fusion.
Motivated by her own story, she volunteers in several STEM education programs including Amazon Future Engineer and GOALS at the Intrepid Museum. Walyce mentors young students who may be immigrants, first-generation Americans, and/or low-income.
