Cloudera Girl Geek Speaker Bios:

Amy O’ConnorAmy O’Connor, Chief Data and Information Officer, Cloudera
Amy is the Chief Data and Information Officer at Cloudera. Amy drives innovation by using data, new technologies, and cloud services to improve customer satisfaction, build and connect products and services, and mitigate risk as leader of a new cross-organizational team that includes business systems, data science, IT operations, and information security. Previously, she was a big data evangelist, responsible for positioning the business value of Cloudera products and services and leading the company’s team of industry experts and business value consultants who advise and guide customers as they adopt. She also teamed with customers to identify and address potential process and organizational barriers that could impact adoption. Prior to joining Cloudera in 2013, Amy built and led the global big data and analytics team at Nokia, where she was an early Cloudera customer. Previously, she was vice president of services marketing at Sun Microsystems as well as head of strategy for the company’s software and storage business units. Amy holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Business Administration.

Sue McKinneySue McKinney, Vice President of Engineering, Emerging Products, Cloudera
Sue is a results-oriented technology executive with a track record of aligning products to market needs and leading engineering and product teams to much higher performance levels. She is keen on introducing new technologies which help enable teams to improve software development best practices, skills, and results to generate significant improvements in growth, value, effectiveness, and efficiency. Over the course of Sue’s career she has led 1200 person development organizations at Veritas, Pitney Bowes and IBM in the areas of enterprise Data Protection, Storage, eCommerce and Collaboration solutions. In Sue’s spare time, she enjoys cooking, crossfit and has participated in Spartan races.

Heather SutherlandHeather Sutherland, Senior Director, Demand Generation and Marketing Operations, Cloudera
Heather is a Senior Director Demand Generation at Cloudera where she is highly proficient at designing and running global campaigns that leverage alliances with the world’s largest technology companies. Prior to Cloudera, Heather held several Marketing leadership positions at NetApp and Sun. She earned an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Accounting from the University of West Florida. She is an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast.

Eva NahariEva Nahari, Director of Product Management, Cloudera
Eva has been working with Java virtual machine technologies, SOA, Cloud, and other enterprise middleware solutions for the past 15 years. With a past as developer of JRockit (the world’s fastest JVM). Eva has been awarded two patents on Garbage Collection heuristics and algorithms. She also pioneered Deterministic Garbage Collection. She’s managed many technical partnerships, among others Sun, Intel, Dell, and Redhat, as well as product integration projects (JRockit/Coherence/WebLogic, Zing/RHEL, Cloudera Search). After productizing the world’s most pauseless JVM – Zing – at Azul Systems, she joined Cloudera in 2012. Since then, she helps drive new product strategies and works with strategic Cloudera customers. Eva manages technical innovation and focus on EDH Access, Integration, and Adoption (e.g. Search, Hue, Oozie, Zookeeper, Cloudera Live). She also drives cross-solution integrations (SyncSort, Zoomdata, Dell, BasisTechnology, LucidWorks SiLK, Splunk, Elastic Search).

Juli HansenJuli Hansen, Senior Account Executive, Cloudera
Juli is a Senior Account Executive at Cloudera that is responsible for helping the world’s most important companies deliver top line business value from their data. She is relentlessly focused on the success for some of the Bay Area’s most accomplished data teams. Prior to Cloudera, she’s had 20 years of international sales executive experience. Juli holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Nisha MuktewarNisha Muktewar, Data Scientist, Cloudera
Nisha is a Data Scientist at Cloudera Fast Forward Labs which is an applied machine intelligence research and advising group part of Cloudera. She works with organizations to help build data science solutions and spends time researching new tools/ techniques/ libraries in this space. Prior to joining Cloudera, she worked as a Manager in Deloitte’s Actuarial, Advanced Analytics & Modeling practice leading teams in designing, building and implementing predictive modeling solutions for pricing, consumer behavior, marketing mix and customer segmentation use cases for insurance and retail/consumer businesses.
