Autodesk Head of Diversity & Inclusion Daniel Guillory, will kick off the evening. Autodesk VP of Engineering Practice Minette Norman will give a keynote sharing her unconventional path to transforming our Engineering Practices at Autodesk. Then, hear a diverse group of technically-minded women discuss how they are at the forefront of enabling others to Make Anything through AI / Machine Learning, Big Data, Microservices, Dev Ops and more!

Minette NormanMinette Norman, Vice President of Engineering Practice
Minette is Vice President of Engineering Practice at Autodesk, and is responsible for creating a collaborative culture and driving state-of-the-art engineering practices. Named in 2017 as one of the “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business” by the San Francisco Business Times, Minette is a recognized industry expert with a unique perspective. Minette serves on the Board of Directors of D-Rev, a non-profit devoted to developing medical technologies for impoverished and vulnerable populations worldwide. Minette holds degrees in drama and French from Tufts University and studied at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. Follow her on Twitter at @minettenorman.

Daniel GuilloryDaniel Guillory, Head of Diversity & Inclusion
Daniel is the Head of Global Diversity & Inclusion at Autodesk. At Autodesk, he is working to integrate all dimensions of diversity and inclusion into many parts of the organization including customer acquisition, recruitment, hiring, people development, advancement, investment and acquisition. He also is interested in the application of people analytics to different initiatives. Daniel was formerly CEO of Innovations International, a consulting firm that assists companies globally on leadership, innovation and diversity through assessment, strategic planning, learning & development, and internal communications. Daniel received his B.A. from Stanford University, his J.D. from Harvard Law School, and studied at the Universite de Paris I—Pantheon Sorbonne, along with the Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany. Rachael RekartRachael Rekart, Senior Manager, Machine Assisted Service Engagement
Rachael leads the Machine Assistance team at Autodesk, responsible for developing and delivering the Autodesk Virtual Agent. Autodesk Virtual Agent currently has over 60,000 conversations with customers per month and has reduced call resolution times for our most repetitive support contacts by 99%, enabling our agents to focus on more complex customer issues. Rachael believes that AI and machine learning will continue to redefine the way Autodesk engages with customers for their service and support needs. She is an active evangelist of AI both inside and outside the company, speaking about Autodesk Virtual Agent’s evolution and capabilities at the Business of Bots and AI Expo conferences, as well as to companies such as Accenture and VISA. Prior to MASE, Rachael led Autodesk teams focused on implementing process optimizations and system improvements to ensure sustainable business growth. Before joining Autodesk in early 2013, Rachael worked in demand planning and supply chain management.

Yizel VizcarraYizel Vizcarra, Conversation Engineer
Yizel is a Conversation Engineer on the Machine Assistance team, focused on improving customer support through dialogue optimization of the Autodesk Virtual Agent. In her role, Yizel analyzes conversations between Autodesk customers and AVA to inform and enhance Autodesk Virtual Agent’s dialogue design and natural language understanding. With a degree in cognitive science from UC Berkeley, Yizel applies the science of human behavior to the design of our customer support virtual agent, comparing the pitfalls and successes of conversations between humans to those between humans and machines.

Shalmali MahajanShalmali Mahajan, Principal Engineer
Shalmali is a Principal Engineer who leads the team responsible for products and prices. At Autodesk, she has been involved in design, architecture, devops, and as a lead, getting a team to deliver quality software consistently. At present, we are working on breaking down our 10-year-old monolith into smaller services.

Tiffany WongTiffany Wong, Senior Software Engineer
Tiffany is a senior software engineer on the Web Platform Engineering team helping to build a content management system that allows internal users to create websites and applications for marketing, ecommerce, in-product content, and more. She is currently working on a digital ecommerce platform to assist customers in their transition from perpetual licenses to cloud-based subscriptions of Autodesk products.

Catherine SchulzCatherine Schulz, Senior Manager of Reliability Engineering
Catherine started at Autodesk in 2017 as a Senior Manager of Reliability Engineering in Cloud Infrastructure. Previously she has worked in Finance, Ecommerce, and Software product companies as an Individual Contributor, Solution Architect and Manager. She has a background in Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, Application Development, Agile and Infrastructure and likes to leverage all of those skills to provide scalable solutions. She believes in the power of the community to drive change and looks to contribute to more of those both within and outside Autodesk.

Pratibha RathorePratibha Rathore, Data Scientist
Pratibha works as a Data Scientist within Finance audit and advisory services team, where she builds analytics solutions for Corporate accounting, Legal and Compliance teams to identify anomalies and potential frauds. She earned her Masters in Information management and Systems from UC Berkeley where she focused on learning Predictive Modeling, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Information Visualization. She also has extensive experience in business intelligence solutions. She also volunteers her time to help and mentor aspiring data scientists to break into this field.
